Elite was created by Ian Bell and David Braben, first released for the BBC Micro in 1984.
The Atari ST conversion credits Rob Nicholson of Mr. Micro Ltd. for programming, Gary Patchen for assistance and James McDermott for graphics. Its source carries Copyright © 1988 Mr. Micro and Firebird Software and identifies its MSX lineage.
The native Amiga port uses music, instruments and sampled effects from the supplied Amiga release, whose music and sound are credited to Wally Beben. The Blue Danube was composed by Johann Strauss II.
The enhanced versions and this adaptation are maintained by Ataribaby / Jaroslav Pulchart. The website layout, navigation, favicon and original Leaving Lave illustration come from the companion Elite: Unbound website. The alternate Leaving Lave image is the supplied 16-bit rendition signed Ham 2026.
Elite: Unbound’s ship-trading, Special Cargo and identity ideas provide a reference for several additions. Its wider foundations include Mark Moxon’s documented Elite sources and Angus Duggan’s Elite-A. These influences are distinct from the original Atari source used for this project.
